NYC Lo-Fi Electronic Funk artist Nick Vivid announces Summer Tour.
Nick Vivid is heading out on the road with the “No More Seclusion” Summer tour – a nod to the title of his most recent release “No More Secrets”, which came out in November 2021. In Nick’s eyes, this occasion is long overdue. “With everything that is going on, it’s amazing I’m even able to do this at all right now,” says Nick. “But I’m really excited to finally get back on the road and play again.”
The 15 city tour, which kicks off June 24th at Wonderville in Brooklyn NY, will be promoting at least one new release – the 45 RPM translucent red vinyl edition of “No More Secrets”, which was delayed due to the global vinyl shortage. “It took over half a year to get the records in because the majors own everything and covid cut down production. But now that it’s here, I think people will really dig it.”
The tour will be making stops throughout the summer in cities such as Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston, and Asheville. A current list of dates can be found at https://www.nickvivid.com
Vivid, who in recent months has been mostly absent from social media, spent the downtime working in his studio searching for new sounds. “I’ve been demoing ideas and searching for the next vibe, building funky fuzz pedals and circuit bending cheap synths.” Once the “No More Seclusion” tour concludes in late September, Nick plans to record the follow up to “No More Secrets”. “The goal is to kinda do what I was going to do pre-pandemic – and that’s make an album in 3 or 4 months, and then a proper world tour – launch it off next spring for SXSW in Austin. Then do Europe, Japan – if the world’s in a better place by then, that is. But that’s the idea.”
